Brenda is the Project Consultant for the Tech Talent Programs which include the DOE Grant, Gear Up, Give Grant and MAC Camp. In this role, she applies her operational, strategic and technical expertise while collaborating with educators and volunteers introducing technology to and developing pathways for rural county students and adult career changers.
Prior to NTC, Brenda has worked in management, human resources, and for the past 5 years, was a middle and high school substitute teacher in Williamson County Schools. She saw this opportunity at NTC to utilize her passion for education and her previous work experience in one role. Brenda also refers to herself as a professional volunteer. For the past 18 years, she has been a member of and held leadership positions in the Junior Leagues of St. Louis, the Palm Beaches and Orlando, numerous PTA/PTO Executive Boards, and is currently her sorority’s Alumnae VP of Finance Advisor at Vanderbilt University.
Brenda graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a BA in Business Economics and a minor in International Relations. She lives in College Grove with her husband, Austin, two dogs, Willow and Stella, and has three daughters in college. In her free time, Brenda has a passion for cooking and travel.
