from: CereCore Names New Chief Operating Officer, Elevates VP of Business Development to New Role of Chief Commercial Officer
CereCore recently announced two strategic changes to its leadership team. Joel St. Francis has been named the company’s chief operating officer (COO), and Phil Sobol has been promoted to chief commercial officer (CCO).
“Both Joel and Phil have been with CereCore since our earliest days and have been instrumental in helping us build long-term partnerships with clients and healthcare organizations and expand the healthcare IT services we offer in the US and UK,” said Curtis Watkins, President and CEO of CereCore. “Joel’s leadership as vice president overseeing operations for client managed IT services and the continual pursuit of process improvement and quality for our clients were key ingredients for our company earning top KLAS rating this year. As vice president of business development, Phil has transformed our commercial services business and established the CereCore brand as one recognized in the healthcare industry for our deep experience as technologists who are healthcare operators at heart.”
As COO, Joel will be responsible for overseeing CereCore operations as well as internal company relationships and management. Joel brings more than two decades of experience in technology leadership and Fortune 100 operations and excels at nurturing client relationships. He previously served as VP of client outsource services at CereCore, was a client executive for Parallon, and he led multi-site, multi-product implementations at HCA Healthcare. He spent six years at Pfizer and gained operations experience managing clinical trial and supply chain applications, achieving significant cost savings and process improvements. Joel earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Worcester State University. He is a certified project management professional, Six Sigma Black Belt, and CHCIO.
In the new role of CCO, Phil will oversee the coordinated, strategic development of service offerings across our global business lines and professional practices. Phil will continue to identify opportunities for CereCore to offer healthcare IT consulting services that will enable health leaders and organizations to deliver high-quality patient care in the communities they serve. Phil has been working in healthcare IT services for more than 20 years and has been leading sales, marketing, and business development for more than a decade at CereCore. Prior to CereCore, Phil was general manager and vice president of Sales & Marketing for several enterprise resource planning (ERP) consulting companies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Taylor University.
