HALEY ZAPOLSKI JOINS NASHVILLE SOFTWARE SCHOOL AS EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Former Program Manager at Nashville Entrepreneur Center Brings Passion for Tech to NSS

NASHVILLE, Tenn., – AUGUST 5, 2021 – The nation’s first non-profit software bootcamp, Nashville Software School (NSS), announces that Haley Zapolski (aka “Zap”) has joined the team as employer engagement manager. Zapolski has three years of technology experience most recently as program manager at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center for Renew Nashville, Metro Nashville’s COVID-response program for small businesses impacted by the pandemic. As employer engagement manager at NSS, Zapolski will connect area employers with recent graduates and share upskilling and reskilling opportunities with employers to meet an unprecedented demand for tech talent in the region.

Prior to the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, Zapolski supported start-ups for a patent lawyer and investor at Hamilton IP Law, PC in Davenport, Iowa. She also served as growth manager at New York based start-up, RippleMatch, an online platform that connects college graduates with entry-level jobs and internships. While at RippleMatch, she spearheaded campus expansions in the U.S. recruiting and training interns at top colleges across the country. In her free time, Zapolski leads NashTech, a networking group for founders and high-growth startups in Nashville.

“We’re continuing to expand to meet the tech needs of area employers and we’re thrilled to welcome Zap in this role,” says Amy Henderson, president and COO, Nashville Software School. “In the first half of this year we helped more than 200 students land their first job in tech and more than 300 regional employers have hired one or more NSS graduates. With Zap on board, we’re looking to strengthen and develop our existing partnerships as well as build new relationships with companies in the greater Nashville area and beyond.”

A native of Iowa, Zapolski has a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she was a member of the 4-year collegiate rowing team. She also earned a certificate from the University of California in Berkeley in Design and Innovation for Sustainable Cities (DISC).

“I’m excited to support the region’s tech growth in my new role at Nashville Software School,” says Haley Zapolski, employer engagement manager, Nashville Software School. “I look forward to helping employers find the right tech talent to remain competitive and scale their companies.”
