IBM executive, Nashville Tech Council talk new career paths and tech industry strengths during pandemic

Economic shifts accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic may lead to opportunities for Middle Tennesseans and others to explore a new career in the technology sector, according to industry leaders.

“Whether you’re employed and you’re happy, or whether you’ve had to go through a transition because of the pandemic, it’s a great time to kind of step back and assess jobs that might be growing in the future, and what it takes to get there,” Michelle Peluso, chief marketing officer of IBM, said in an interview with The Tennessean. “(Find) a path for you that works. I think more than ever, there’s real possibility.”
