from: ProviderTrust Kicks Off Milestone Anniversary With Introduction Of New Solution for Health Plans; New Offering Demonstrates Company’s Continued Rapid Growth; Expands Successful Portfolio of Products
NASHVILLE, TN (Feb. 27, 2020) – ProviderTrust today announced the availability of its newest product, Dash. The customizable software enables health plans to achieve continuous compliance while reducing the burden of claims overpayments and recoveries due to fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA). Its latest offering in support of empowering a safer healthcare through smarter monitoring, Dash underscores ProviderTrust’s commitment to meet the evolving needs of its customers and the industry at large.
Claims overpayment and recovery related to FWA is a health insurance epidemic, costing tens of billions of dollars annually, according to the National Health Care Fraud Anti-Fraud Association. Health plans aiming to reduce the financial burden associated with recoveries are pressured to improve the accuracy of their provider data while simultaneously working to quickly identify potential FWA by monitoring both providers and transactions, preventing payments to fraudulent providers, and protecting vulnerable patient populations.
Dash helps payors overcome the laborious and costly task of continuously monitoring large provider networks to achieve and maintain compliance. It does this by searching and enhancing primary source healthcare data to identify and verify compliance issues and deliver actionable results, enabling health plans to instantly verify provider eligibility.
“We’re incredibly proud that this announcement coincides with the start of our 10th anniversary,” said Chris Redhage, co-founder of ProviderTrust. “ProviderTrust was born from our belief that safer healthcare can be achieved through smart technology, and we’ve seen that vision come to life over the past decade by creating a suite of products that, through compliance, have enabled health plans and health systems to meet and exceed their clinical and financial goals. We’re encouraged by initial results from Dash’s use and confident it will play an integral role in the success of current and future clients.”
A longtime ProviderTrust partner, DentaQuest, which provides dental and vision benefits to more than 32 million individuals nationwide, late last year became the first health plan to use Dash. Within two weeks post-implementation, Dash verified and auto-resolved more than 40,000 potential exclusion matches across a vast provider network spanning six states, saving the payor countless hours of manpower.
“After using another one of ProviderTrust’s tools and experiencing a high level of satisfaction with customer service and the product itself, it was a no brainer for us to elevate our automated monitoring by transitioning to Dash,” said DentaQuest Provider Operations Manager Liza Filtz-Freimark. “In a short period of time, ProviderTrust’s guidance and expertise has simplified our day-to-day operations and improved our overall business, but more importantly, it’s allowed us to focus on achieving our mission of improving the oral health of all.”
Dash’s introduction comes on the heels of a banner year for ProviderTrust. In 2019, the leading healthcare data and technology company expanded its workforce to more than 90 employees and settled into a new Nashville headquarters to accommodate its growing personnel and client roster. A nod to its commitment to helping team members develop and succeed personally and professionally, it also received “Best Place to Work” accolades from Inc. Magazine, Modern Healthcare, and the Nashville Business Journal. Continuing its momentum in 2020, following the launch of Dash, ProviderTrust will continue to enhance its best-in-class license monitoring and verification capabilities within its product suite.
Founded in 2010 with a vision to simplify healthcare compliance, Nashville-based ProviderTrust has grown into a leading healthcare data and technology company serving the nation’s top health systems, health plans, and pharmacy organizations. On a mission to create a safer, smarter healthcare for everyone, ProviderTrust monitors millions of data records across multiple populations to identify license, credential, compliance, and payment eligibility issues before they impact patients. ProviderTrust has consistently been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work by Modern Healthcare, Inc. Magazine, and the Nashville Business Journal.
