NTC Pi Day 2016 & Raspberry Jam
Written by: Alex Curtis | Posted Mar 17, 2016

On March 14, 3.14, the NTC celebrated Pi day with a class about Raspberry Pi called a Raspberry Jam.  This first inaugural Jam gave students an opportunity to explore Raspberry Pi computers and enjoy a short session on ‘How Computers Think’, taught by Kimberly Lewis.  Her lesson was excellent.  If you missed it and would like to see her, she will re-teach her session this weekend at the Middle Tennessee Robotic Arts Society which will be held at The Adventure Science Center at 1:30pm.

Many thanks also to Ben Hicks and Ron Foster for setting up the demo lab.  Thanks to Monica Baker for her volunteer effort to greet guest and help things run smoothly.  And, of course, thanks to our students and families who came out to celebrate Pi Day with the Nashville Technology Council.

We will have more educational events for the 9 to 18 year-old set in the coming weeks.  We look forward to other Raspberry Jams and to the upcoming tech camp season.
