What is the primary reason your organization decided to join the NTC?
Amedisys has a desire to play a more active role in the healthcare technology space. Clearly, the NTC continues to be a leading driver and supporter of the Nashville area technology community. Recognizing this along with the recent acquisition of Nashville-based Contessa Health coupled with the technology presence that Amedisys has had in Nashville for years, becoming a member of the Nashville Technology Council was a move that our senior leadership enthusiastically embraces. We look forward to the mutually beneficial relationship that our investment in the technology community and elevation & building of relationships, knowledge sharing and skills development for our technology staff fosters through our membership in the NTC.
What fun facts would you like to share about Amedisys?
In Latin, ‘Medicor’ means ‘to heal’ and in Greek, ‘Systema’ means ‘the whole compounded of several parts.’ So, a Medicor Systema (Amedisys) began its mission of healing the whole person.
