About
The Diversity Mentorship Program was started to help increase ethnic and socioeconomic diversity in the greater Nashville technology community. We aim to serve professionals who are developing promising technical skills but lack experienced mentorship or who are hoping to expand their mentorship to gain more understanding of the current tech landscape.
Our approach is to gather and pair individual mentors to individual mentees and then become hands off and allow pairings to build relationships.
Mission
Our mission is to connect emerging minority technology talent in Nashville with experienced executive mentorship to help direct, grow, and strengthen individual careers and the local technology community as a whole.
Program Structure
To be able to deliver on the mission, the structure of the program includes identification of goals from the first meeting. Below is an outline of expectations from the mentor mentee relationship.
- Selection of goals from relationship and milestone dates
- Minimum of 6 meetings to be setup by participants
- Topics will be provided as a base for discussion
- Reflexion of program experience by end of program
