We were honored to once again host the STEAM Camp with the Metropolitan Action Commission!
Over the course of the summer, students aged 13-15 from the Metro Nashville Public School System had the opportunity to dive into the tech industry through instruction, guest speakers, and site visits.
We are extremely thankful for the companies who hosted the students and showed the multitude of jobs a career in tech can take you. The site visit companies include S3 Recycling, Nashville State, Apple, African American Music Museum, CGI, Convergint, BNA, MTSU, Alliance Bernstein, and the State of TN.
We are also thankful for having some NTC members time out of their day to come as guest speakers and share insights with the students on their areas of expertise. Whether it was career prep, exploring design, or simple Q&A, these speakers brought great value to the camp. The speakers include Charlie Yielding, Fred Junqueira, Kiran Bollampally, and Sydney Ernstes.
Already looking forward to hosting this camp again next year! We are always looking for ways to help foster the growth of tech in Middle Tennessee.
