Strengthening the Region’s Tech Ecosystem

Blaze shared how GNTC’s work is guided by four core pillars:

  • Connect – Bringing technology professionals together through events and networking opportunities
  • Unite – Building collaboration across companies, industries, and community partners
  • Develop – Supporting leadership growth and workforce development
  • Promote – Highlighting the innovation happening across Middle Tennessee

These pillars shape GNTC’s programs and initiatives, helping bring together technology leaders, companies, and talent from across the region.
“By elevating the tech community, we elevate the entire community.”

Expanding Opportunity Through Technology

A major theme of the conversation was the importance of expanding access to technology opportunities.
Blaze emphasized that while talent exists everywhere, access to opportunity does not always follow. Through partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and businesses, GNTC works to help bridge that gap by connecting students and professionals to technology education, mentorship, and career pathways.
By strengthening the technology workforce pipeline, these efforts ultimately support both the tech community and the broader regional economy.

Investing in Future Tech Leaders

Blaze also highlighted programs focused on developing the next generation of technology professionals.
For younger students, GNTC hosts robotics programming at its offices, giving high school students hands-on opportunities to explore technology through mentorship and after-school learning.
For professionals already working in tech, GNTC’s ELITE Program helps early- and mid-career leaders grow their skills, expand their networks, and prepare for future leadership roles in the industry.
Blaze compared the rapidly evolving tech industry to athletics—professionals must continuously train, learn, and adapt to stay competitive.

Leading with Purpose

When asked about the most important lesson he has learned throughout his career, Blaze shared a guiding principle that continues to shape his leadership:
Leave things better than you found them.
That philosophy reflects GNTC’s broader mission—bringing people together, expanding opportunities, and strengthening Nashville’s growing technology ecosystem.
