TechnologyAdvice Acquires Nashcocktail to Serve Nashville’s Growing Tech Community

Nashcocktail, a digital media networking event that’s grown steadily for the past 5 years, has recently fallen into new hands. Seeing an opportunity to strengthen Nashville’s growing technology community, TechnologyAdvice, a B2B tech marketing company, purchased Nashcocktail from Dave Delaney, a Nashville-based digital marketing consultant.

Founded in 2010 by Delaney, Nashcocktail was initially formed to attract social media marketing professionals, but has since grown to include digital marketers over the past several years. After founding social media consulting agency Futureforth in 2015, Delaney, who authored the book New Business Networking, decided to look for opportunities to find a new owner for Nashcocktail.

“As my clientele has grown, I have often struggled to find the necessary time to promote and tend to Nashcocktail. My clients and family always come first, which means sometimes the event suffered. I am confident that Nashcocktail is in great hands with TA. I plan to continue to attend, and I hope to see many familiar faces and meet new friends each month.”

TechnologyAdvice acquired the rights to Nashcocktail from Delaney in November, and plans are already underway to build on the current foundation of the existing event. The company will expand the reach of the event beyond social media professionals by appealing to developers, marketers, recruiters, students, and other digital media and technology professionals. Also, complimentary food and drinks will be provided for all attendees at each meet up.

Rob Bellenfant, CEO of TechnologyAdvice, said, “We saw Nashcocktail as a big opportunity. Nashville has made great progress in building its technology industry and attracting talented professionals, and we want to give those professionals a place to meet up every month. It’s our goal to make Nashcocktail the best place for professionals to network with peers, share ideas, and help shape the future of Middle Tennessee’s technology community.”

More than 200 individuals have already registered for the inaugural meeting on December 8 from 6 to 8 pm. Nashcocktail will take place every second Tuesday of the month at TechnologyAdvice’s new four-story headquarters at 500 Interstate Blvd. S., Nashville, TN.
