2020 NTC DC Fly-in
Written by: Alex Curtis | Posted Feb 17, 2020

Last week, a group of Middle Tennessee tech leaders met with our region’s elected officials and their staffs, as well as tech policy thought leaders to talk about issues including consumer and B2C privacy policy, 5G tech and broadband access, and gig economy independent contractor / employee policy from our tech council colleagues around the nation through TECNA.

We learned about innovations happening at the Library of Congress to provide the public with more digital access to the our country’s history and culture using machine learning and AI. We met with representatives from Local Motors , innovators in the autonomous, locally 3D printed public transit vehicles. Hosted at Amazon’s DC’s office, we collaborated with representatives from Opportunity at Work , Jobs for the Future , and Consumer Technology Association’s US Jobs . We learned more about tech policy issues with representatives from Vanderbilt University , CTA and Engine.is.

Many thanks to all our collaborator experts and NTC members from HCA Healthcare , MTSU , Nashville Software School , VendEngine , Women in Technology of Tennessee , and to represent Tennessee’s tech community in Washington, DC!
